For this
assignment we are asking all students to shoot and post 3 documentary still
images to their portfolio websites.
These images should follow the theme: “Hunter College: A Day in the
Life.”
You can
interpret that as you wish, either with specific people or a broader overview,
long shots or close up details. You can either have three images that
tell one specific story, or use your three images to illustrate three separate
aspects of the Hunter theme.
Your assignment for the lab is to take the 3 pictures, using the Canon camera
in still photo mode, plus your imagination and ideas about composition,
perspective and camera angle that form the subject of the Oct. 13th Lecture,
and then upload them to your portfolio site.
Because you will only have your lab time to do this assignment, you could spend
some time looking for places that are rich with possibility – they may not be
the obvious ones.
