    o View examples of different film camera formats
    o Learn how to load FILMO 16mm camera
    o Share artists statements, discuss

    o TA can demonstrate how to access blackboard (was down last week)
    o Collect student availability for Museum Trip?
    o Reminder: students must have flash drive, 1 gig or more

    Lab Demo / Practicum
    Make sure students have been able to access Blackboard

    Introduction to FILMO 16mm camera

    Show different film formats – 35mm, 16mm, 8mm. Review why you would or would not want to use each one. Review reversal vs. neg/pos process.

    Demonstration of Victorian Toy ‘apparent motion’

    FILMO CAMERA – use this camera for demo
    These cameras were used in the Korean war by CBS, they will use them in Hunter film production classes

    Demonstration of how to load camera
    KEY ELEMENTS
    -Emulsion side faces lens
    -Take up reel / Supply reel
    -Pressure plate
    -Aperture, Shutter
    -Hand crank
    -24 fps – frames per second
    -Claw – used to advance perforation
    -Intermittent
