PODCAST ASSIGNMENT
(TO BE COMPLETED IN LAB THE WEEKS OF MAY 4TH AND MAY 11TH
For this assignment, you will work in groups of two. You will interview one another, using the digital audio recorders. Choose your questions from the ones on the attached handout, or come up with your own. You should record about 15 minutes of material each. In the next lab, you will a create 4-7 minute podcast from this interview by editing it and adding an intro in your own voice, and music or other sounds as you choose. Try and select questions that will create an interesting portrait of your partner for a listener.
Podcasting is a method of publishing audio broadcasts via the Internet that can then be downloaded and listened to on any audio device that supports the MP3 format. Often people subscribe to a podcast that is published periodically; you will be making one stand-alone audio piece that can be streamed (or downloaded) from your portfolio site.
